Most of the turtles that I make are of American Black Walnut. The color of this wood ranges from almost coal black to chocolate brown, silver-gray, and red. I try to use the most beautiful book-matched pieces for the bellies. Prices for these turtles range from $100 to $250 for each, depending on the quality and size.
