About the Instructor/Operator:
Jay Paul Kawatski was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on February 1, 1948. He immigrated to Canada in 1968, and has lived in the present area for twenty years. He began serious gardening as a child in Wisconsin. Coming from a family of fourteen (twelve boys and two girls), he learned early in life to do his own fair share of work. Until recently, he supported his family of four (two children and two adults on an annual food budget of less than $3,000.00. Largely self-taught, Jay believes that education never ends as long as one lives.
